The article
A great render can sell a yacht before the keel is laid — or sink a shipyard's credibility when the finished boat doesn't match. The difference isn't the software. It's whether the model underneath is honest.
One model, two jobs
Our launch images and our production surfaces come from the same master model. When the sales team zooms into a render of the beach club, they're looking at geometry the mould shop will mill. Approval on screen means approval in steel — and buyers can feel that certainty, even if they can't name it.
The Notte proof
For the 44-metre Notte we delivered a full launch set — hero views, dusk arrivals, a two-minute film — six months before delivery. The shipyard sold her off those images. At handover, the owner compared the renders to the yacht and found the differences measured in centimetres, not concepts. That is the whole business case for honest imagery.
What to commission
If you're a yard or broker: start with eight to twelve hero views covering arrival, living and detail. Add a film only if you have a story worth two minutes. And always ask your visualiser where their model came from — if the answer is "we styled it for the render," keep your deposit.
