Exterior design at Calmhaven starts below the waterline. We shape hull lines for the speed and range you actually need, then develop deck plans, profiles and detailing around real structure, visibility and spray behaviour — so the yacht you fall in love with is the yacht the yard can build.
The service covers new builds, conversions and refit exteriors: from the first proportion sketches through 3D development to a styled, arranged and documented package your shipyard can price and loft.

Questions
Can you work with our naval architect?
Yes — we do it regularly. We can lead the full design or style above an existing hull and structure package, with clear interface points agreed up front.
Do you handle class and flag compliance?
We design to the major rules from day one and coordinate directly with your surveyor — but formal class submission stays with the yard's engineering team.
How long does an exterior package take?
Typically 4–6 months for a full new-build exterior including arrangement. Refit styling runs 6–12 weeks depending on survey data.
